I had a hysterectomy in June where they took all of my womb away and lymph nodes. Luckily they came back negative but the cancer had invaded more than 50%of the lining of the womb and this means I have a very aggressive cancer. In August I gad another scan and thst showed I had 2 cancerous lymph nodes in my pelvis. I started chemotherapy on 2ns September and gave had four rounds- they did another scan 3 weeks ago before I had my 4th round and it showed the lymph nodes had grown slightly. I gave now been told that the chemo isn't working and they are putting me on immunotherapy which targets the actual cancer. Has anyone else had this and were the results good?
Hi Ronny
I am sorry to hear that the chemo isn't working for you but its good that they are looking into immunotherapy. I had chemo and radiotherapy but have not had immunotherapy. I do remember some ladies on here who have had the treatment and hope someone will be along soon to share their experience.
In the mean time here is a link to some general info that may help.
What is immunotherapy and how is it given? | Macmillan Cancer Support
I hope that the treatment goes well for you.
