Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to tell you that I had my first Covid vaccine today!! I suppose not many on here will have had it because they are just starting on the 75 - 80 year olds. I didn't expect it this quick. It has made me feel that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and an end to living shut in. So, take heart. xxxxxx
Hi NannyAnny
Well done you! At 67 don't think I'll get mine until May. I've got so accustomed to staying in apart from dog-walking I wonder how I'll cope! Last year was all self-isolating because of tests & ops and so far this year I've ventured out to the Doc's for a blood test!
Roll on normal living!
Big hugs, Barb xx

Hi Mrs BJH,
It might be quicker than you think. We thought ours would be about mid February!!! We live near Portsmouth and having contacted relatives in Alnwick, Northumberland they are doing 75-80 year olds, too. The news only mentions over 80's. It might depend where you live. Ours was very well organised, and we were impressed, very grateful and excited!!!! xxxxx
Thats great NannyAnny, your right it does give a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. I have no idea when I will be offered the vaccine but the fact that its being rolled out will make a big difference.

Hi there,
I have had my vaccine yesterday, to be honest I was surprised to get a call from my doctor. I am not 60 until April and my cancer was stage 1A grage 1, hysterectomy was my only treatment. But I was pleased to have it, so that hopefully we will get back to normal in the future.
Hi Caroline,
It certainly reduces the worry of it all, doesn't it? They seem to be on the 70-75 year olds here now. xxx
I'm 65 in March and was surprised to get a text today inviting me to book my appointment, so I am having my vaccine on Monday! I wasn't expecting them to get to me for a while yet. My husband is 72 and had his last week.
xx
Oh wow Poppysmum27, that's pretty quick. Some areas are well a head in delivery of the vaccine which is a fantastic achievement indeed. I know a number of people who feel some relief not waiting too long to have some protection from covid. Hope all goes well on Monday.
Big hugs

Hi everyone I've just booked mine 6th February. I was quite surprised as I am 60 also my oncologist are booking me an appointment to go for check up. I have had the telephone appointments and it is over a year since I've had a physical check up. Fingers crossed I'm OK, nearly 2 years on from my recurrence. Take care everyone xx Dawn
