Hello Again fellow group members, I hope everyone is doing good today.
I’m kindly asking for help to help me with my CA125 results.
It’s my first marker test I took yesterday and results came back 39.6 Normal range 0-35.
I got it from my patient portal. My Drs’ nurse hasn’t call yet. I just wanted to share and see if anyone has the same results.
Thank you,
IC
Hi
I notice you haven't had any replies yet, but perhaps you have been able to get some more information from the nurse. If not you could try making a query on the "ask an expert" section of this site for some reassurance..
I know that I have been told that the CA125 marker can have a slightly raised level in many common conditions and is not necessarily any cause for concern. Sometime routine blood tests throw up odd results that can be quite worrying at the time but turn out to be a single anomalous reading. I have certainly had this happen.
By the way, do you have a date for your surgery yet? I do hope so- the uncertainty is difficult to cope with.

Hi, Suffer1
The Ca125, like many other medical tests, helps to narrow down a group of people who need to be looked at more closely. There are reasons, other than cancer, that it can be raised, but you will need to talk to your GP, consultant or CNS (cancer nurse specialist) to put your own particular result in context.
Whilst you wait for that, the thing to take comfort from is that the people taking care of you DO know what to do and are doing the right things so you can put your trust in that.
Lots of love

Hi , i agree with the other ladies. From what i was told your CA 125 marker can indicate that something needs a closer look at, i had a look back at my records as i was diagnosed 3 years ago stage 1a grade 2 and had a hysterectomy as treatment, and it was 86 at diagnosis and i was told that even with my cancer diagnosis this was relatively low. Its a good question to ask your consultant or clinical nurse specialist as they will of course be able to explain what your individual results mean. Fingers crossed for you.
