Hi,
I realise that this is pretty personal and may be too personal to ask, so I understand if no-one feels able to respond to this post, I promise not to be offended.
I am wondering about my blood loss and if it is heavy or average for people with womb cancer.
I am using 4 layers of sanitary pads including maternity size which is the biggest I can get. I have a Mirena device fitted but it isnt controlling the bleeding. Im passing clots up to 6 inches long and half inch thick. Tonight's was the size of a smallish golf ball. Gushing from me when I walk or stand up, going through 2 packs of baby wipes a week.
Any ideas?
Hi I have been bleeding for a few weeks now .. quite heavy but this seems excessive . I would speak to your consultant or doctor . They can prescribe either a hormone tablet if you haven't had a hysterectomy or tranexamic acid tablet which I am taking at the moment . These are brilliant and are a life changer so as long as you don't have any history of clots or take blood thinners. Fingers crossed that you get this sorted . I had to wait whilst waitng tests for the cause (another recurrance) but don't leave it . No reason for you to be suffering with this . Good luck
