Hi Everyone, looking forward to reading about everyones journey.
have just had a scan and found thickening of the womb and cysts 13 mm. They have over doubled in size since last year.
I have had a little spotting on tissue but not enough to show in my knickers!
After two weeks of isolating I am having a biopsy and a hystercopy.
I have just found out on my last years scan that I had thickening of the womb and cysts too. But they didnt mention it to me and decided that it was due to Tomixifen which I take for previous breast cancers. Having had that twice.
I'm now worried as its been a year that the cysts were noticed. Saw consultant and she has said I have pre cancerous cells.
Whats everyone experience, is 13 mm large. Are Cysts the same as Cells ?
I originally went over a year ago to the GP because of a pain in my side. This started the process of scans, never did get an answer to that problem. Although reading about womb cancer it could be to do with that.
Opinions would be appreciated.
Hi Holiday Dreaming,
Sorry you find yourself here. I think Cysts are a collection of cells, and not always bad news. My husband had one behind his ear once and I made him see about it. After starving overnight he was admitted to hospital to have it removed. The consultant took one look, decided it was too small to remove and sent him back home!!! I've never been forgiven for that one!!
Pre cancerous cells are cells that could change into cancer. That means they have caught you very early, which is good. I believe these days you can be treated with a coil instead of an operation, but I don't know an awful lot about it. Someone might be along soon who knows more. When I was in hospital there was a lady opposite me who had just had a hysterectomy. They found a cyst/ lump the size of an iceberg lettuce in there!! A hysterectomy was the only way they could get it out.
All the best xxx
thank you Nanny Anny for your reply. Yes puts me a little more at ease. Going in Friday for the hysterscopy so all will be Revealed. It’s worrying that I’ve had this pain in my lower abdomen for a year as well. You can’t help thinking the worse.
appreciate your information, wish you well. Xx
