Keyhole or abdominal hysterectomy

Hi Ronamy, my op is also scheduled for 19/12 although it will be nearly 5 weeks from diagnosis to surgery for me. I have been told it’s grade 1 stage 1a so surgery hopefully will be the only treatment I’ll need but that would need to be confirmed after hysterectomy. Been told robotically assisted keyhole. Hello Romany and welcome

I was told right up to surgery that they would be trying to do keyhole.  Unfortunately, they couldn't and said it was due to the fact I had never had children.  So, Total Abdo it was.  I haven't had any problems (surgery in Sept) and 3x brachytherapy.  There was a funny occasion though when the nurses couldn't figure out how to remove the single stitch - they'd never seen one like it before ':)  I hope all goes well for you and you don't find it too stressing.
