Hello everyone. My first message! Was diagnosed yesterday with uterine cancer! Scared stiff. Got an MRI scan tomorrow to see what grade cancer it is! My cancer nurse is ringing me with the results!! Cannot function. Keep crying. Dreading Christmas

I am struggling massively with the blood thinning injections fragment! Every day it hurts like hell! Not good! Has anyone else suffered like this?

    Fragmin not fragment!!!

  • Hi there, I had my husband administer my Fragmin, the first few were ok but they did seem to hurt more as they went on! I had a few little bruises on my stomach, I  was really glad when the two weeks were up.

I have to endure fragmin for 4 weeks in total! So dread it each day! Horrible. I do it in my thigh because it hurt more in my stomach! I have to be brave & endure it along with the ugly ted stockings. Again not forever. Got my results of my operation on the 16th. Dreading that in case further treatment is necessary even though I’m allegedly a grade 1b! We’ll see! X

Taking blood can hurt but nothing like the fragmin injection every day! I looked at the adverse reactions to it & guess what one of them was intense pain so that would be me then! X

Omg I’m not looking fwd to them do u have to put them in thigh ?  how bout a fat bottom lol x

  • I have been there and done it. A tip.........my husband who has been giving injections for too many years to mention, administered mine. However the trick is to get an ice cube. Hold it on the spot just for a few seconds and then inject. Takes away most of the pain!! When I had my 28 day injections it worked wonders!’
