Apparently as part of my pre op I will be part of a group where a senior nurse will be explaining what exercises I need to do post surgery and how to move. This will take an hour and only patients allowed, I'm going to be so flipping stressed by then I'm not going to remember what I'm meant to do!!!!

  • Hi Nina,

They showed me the exercises at pre op, I had no chance of remembering either lol, but they also gave me a booklet to take away that reminded me how to do them. Try not to worry about it, if they don't have a booklet take a paper and pen and write the exercise name down, there should be a video or booklet on the nhs website that shows you how to do them,

    lots of love

I have no medical training, everything I post is an opinion or educated guess. It is not medical advice.

  • Thanks Arla. I think I'd better start practicing now!!!! Just hope I don't get the giggles

Hey arla, thanks for posting that link to the booklet. I got no information about that whatsoever and when I mentioned exercises they looked at me as if I'd dropped from another planet..! At least nSheep I have something to work from! Yes nina, I would probably get the giggles too trying to do them. Think it's a good suggestion by lass to try and film them unless some daft beaurocrocy gets in the wSheep otherwise one and paper as arla says. Hopefully they will have a preprinted take away sheet. Good luck. Love lamb. Sheep

  • Hi Nina,

I practiced before my op too, I figured it would be easier getting the knack before I was uncomfortable. Getting out of bed without twisting takes a bit of getting used to, that's a good one to start with.
