Glad to hear your op is now done , but sorry to hear your feeling sickly. I was a bit for the first few days then it eased so hopefully yours will. With regards to your wound its not infected is it? What's the consultant or nurses said about it? Gentle hugs and hopefully the wind will ease, I had my hysterectomy with a cut below the bellybutton down they inflated my abdomen so they could do it partly keyhole but could not take my womb or ovaries out vaginally. I hear having the robotic surgery is good at having less outside or inside scaring I know there are others who have had it that way.

Hi Jackie,
I was sick after the anaesthetic, the hospital gave me an anti sickness injection which done the trick. If that's not helped / they won't give you anything, you could see if you can get some sea bands, you can get them from the chemist / supermarket and sometimes hospitals have them, they are like sweat bands and they have a button that works on a pressure point in your wrist, I doubted their ability to work but tried them when I was nauseous and they were amazing.
I also had some fluid leak from my wound site, they regularly dressed it and I ended up at my gp with it (I had open surgery though). If it's still happening before you go home ask for some spare dressings when they discharge you, I found that the district nurse and gp didn't stock the ones I needed and I had to get a prescription filled to get them, it was also handy for me to have some dressing kits as I could redress it whenever I needed to if it leaked or came off.
I hope that you feel better and get home soon.
lots of love

Hi Jackie, It’s good to hear that you are through the op and hoping to go home on Monday. Yes, I felt very nauseous after the op - I was sick once which was very unpleasant but the nurses gave me some anti sickness pills which stopped me feeling sick. I was told to let them know if I felt nauseous and they gave me more anti sickness meds as I needed them. I found thus lasted a couple of days and things gradually improved as the anaesthetic left my system. I hope you feel better soon. Sending you lots of good wishes for your recovery x
Hi Jackie, glad your op is all done with. I have a phobia of being sick and as I knew I was going to be given morphine I asked for anti-sickness drugs too which was fine while I was on the morphine and helped a lot.
I hope you get home today so you can really start to rest and recuperate but take it very easy.
Hugs, Lesley xx
