Hi there
i just wanted to touch base and say a hello to those who may remember me but also to share a not too gloomy at all picture 1 year on from the end of my treatment. I had grade 3 stage 1a clear cell womb cancer diagnosed in late January 2018. Since then it’s been surgery and brachytherapy. Finished that all 1 year ago so it’s my 1 year anniversary. I got such great support from the women in the group and wanted to say a big thank you as well as say to all the newbies that it really can be okay. Has life changed ? Well yes! And very much in a positive way for me. Life is too short now not to focus on what makes me happy and so I’ve done some things over the last year that have helped to shape my future - ..and when I am working too hard or not getting to bed early and missing out on sleep- I pinch myself And say - remember what’s important. One day at a time and do something you love every day ! Xxx
Thankyou Star Sky!
Thats a lovely positive outlook, not dissimilar to the one I aim for too, after my grade 3 stage 1b endometrial sarcoma was robotically removed by keyhole surgery, in Sept ‘18.
Yes life is different now, and age 57 I think I’m slowing down but still keen to enjoy life as enabled & give back what I can for the kindness that I have received over my treatment & beyond.
Yes it’s living a day at a time. Expectations are not so sky high & making each day special even in a small way can really help.
Tx again
Yes!
Oh yes definitely I do, its totally understandable to be anxious and indeed frustrated while waiting for scans and results Fatfish, so your certainly not alone with them feelings.

Aw!
that was a long wait from February!!?
Mine is a second scan within 7 months since my treatment ended!
I had a rare cancer that is only seen apparently once in 5 yrs.
I guess this is for our own good!
The care I received was so good.
Take care & keep well as you wait!
xx
Yeah, they sent me for a routine, not usually routine scan lol, it's a 34 week wait for a routine scan in my hospital, hopefully it's all good, they said they wanted a double check, but there's no such thing as an easy wait for a scan, even when it's supposed to be routine.
Wow, once in 5 years! That is rare, I hope you manage to distract yourself a bit whilst you wait.
