I decided to start a thread for any arts and crafts you do and want to share. I know I post in others but I just wanted to share how much its helping to calm my mind and would definitly recommend everyone having a go. You don't have to be prefect just happy with your own achievement. Its Daloni that actually gave me this idea for a thread with her wonderful things she makes. So here is our very own girls.
My latest project...
I have done the shading but I think I may add some colour maybe watercolor not totally decided yet.
Thanks, Gbear. I used cheapest acrylic paints on a canvas from a branch of The Works (don’t know if you have one near you but they sell discount books and cheap canvases.
This poor doggie is no more now, but my friends were pleased to have a remembrance, however inept!
I’m sure your friend would love a painting.

OK its not finished yet, but this is what I have been on today.
Sorry its on its side. But doing this has at least distracted me, as had a very rough night with the pain in my bellybutton, spoke to the information guys on the Mac bus yesterday about my bleed in my bellybutton and it being abit sore recently, a phone call I need to make again to my gynae team, fed up with the weird things now, but heyho it could be a lot worse, so I am not going to worry too much.
OK I did abit more, on the highlights of the dog
OK a question, I am thinking of leaving it as a portrait and putting the dogs name underneath and buying a pictureframe its going to be a present but do you reckon I add abit of background or leaving it as a portrait I have not totally decided which yet, what do you reckon?
This is what I am currently working on, I hope to make it a Christmas present for my Dad, its of our house we had over 25years. He had to be put down on the Monday as I was diagnosed on the Thursday, hardly the best week in my life but I still to this day believe he gave up to help me.
I like to do a pencil outline then I can find it easier to correct anything before I add the colours.
I'm currently trying to recover a faded quilt with a patchwork cover. I looked in my cupboard and found lots of greens and blues, so its mainly those colours. Even so, I had to go and buy some extra material!! Its taken me a long time because I did a scalloped edge. I'm now working on the middle.
Love the horse, GBear.
