I thought that it would good for us to have a regular place to share the positive things, however small, in our lives. Whenever you all share positive tales, I know that I for one feel better, so I thought it might benefit others too. So, if you need a little reminder that joy can be found even on the darkest days, this is the place.
The rule is simply to list three good things that you have experienced, or will experience, today. The idea is to focus on the present rather than worrying about the future or dwelling on negative thoughts. If you are struggling through something hard remembering what you have that is good can really support you. Everyone is different, and there is no wrong answer, and nothing too insignificant to mention. Everything positive counts!
Hi!Â
My three thingsÂ
1. My daughter passed her driving theory test - first time. It was lucky we were early as she realised when we arrived that she'd forgotten her provisional license. She negotiated herself a half hour later test and we drove like the wind to get it.Â
2. I ordered the tiles for our new bathroom. Our neighbour is a builder and will be doing the work and his discount at the tile shop saved us over ÂŁ100. Work starts next Monday.Â
3. I still gaff a small chunk of Christmas cake left to enjoy with tea when I get homeÂ
1. My mum has flu but she is feeling much better today.
2. I tried on the top my husband bought me for Christmas and it is lovely. Â
3. My reading space/dining room is coming together at last.  Because he is not taking me to hospital tomorrow my husband is going to fit the new curtain rail and hang the curtains, I have put my reading lamp together and we have folded down the dining table (*sad face*) so I have space for a comfortable chair and a footstool.
Hi Kalliope,
I love this thread! My three good things
* I had a lovely early Christmas with my daughter's and their partners. We ate lots, laughed even more and shared some special moments.
* I have a bar of 70% dark chocolate to start with my coffee this evening.
* I am dog-sitting for my daughter and the dogs are so loving and gentle - they're curled up next to me, fast asleep after our walk between the blustery showers.
Yeah!! Three good things today.
Had lovely lunch with supportive kind neighbours.
My daughter confirmed she is coming to stay with me tomorrow for a couple of weeks before she heads back to New York.
I had first completely normal pain free uneventful bowel movement since my bowel went into spasm post operatively. What a treat a normal poo can be!
Ha - love it!

2. A nice lunch out to look forward to.
3. Cosied up for a lazy morning on the sofa looking out at the rain in the trees.
Happy Sunday everyoneÂ

Monday 29 Jan
I've been wondering if there were any spring bulbs planted in my new garden, and there in the front garden this morning were... 2 patches of crocus - my favourite spring flower.
Looks like an increased dose of pregabalin is lessening the neuropathic pain in my legs.
Bought a 2-seater electric recliner setee in TEAL -- my fav colour. Excited about being able to my legs up at a nice angle. I predict plenty of falling asleep in front of a good movie.
My three good things :
1) I had a lovely  day with my daughter last week. We tried on a few outfits to get some ideas of what I might wear to her wedding and had a delicious lunch.
2) I've just finished two little knitted garments, one for a friend's niece, the other for  a friend's baby due any day......
3) I have a new novel to start tonight Â
