Hi ladies, I've had 2 operations first to remove the lump November 2021 and a 2nd in February to remove my lympnodes from both sides of my groin. Then chemo/radiotherapy in march that lasted 5 weeks. So it's bin around 4 months. So my question really is that whole area feels tight is the only way I can describe the feeling can anybody give me any tips mayb stretches or should I go back to my gp I've not seen my specialist yet since the last treatments. I'm hopefully due back to work in October I work at Asda home shopping so it's very demanding xxx
Hi Runner85,
My consultant suggested using dilators. I didn’t have chemo or radiotherapy though, so it may be different for you. Do you have a specialist nurse? I find that they are usually very helpful and if they can’t answer my question then they will speak to my consultant and come back to me. It could be worth giving them a try if you have one.
I hope you manage to find something that works.
Best wishes,
That's not what I'm having trouble with the tight Ness it's more the outside area where my scars are from where they took the lymph nodes my groin area feels almost like I can't open my legs that far. Didn't realize that it's a bank holiday I'll give them a ring on Tuesday x
Hi Runner85,
I wonder whether it could be lymphoedema. Does the area look swollen? Either way I hope your nurse can be of some help.
Warm wishes,
Not really but it's a little red and hard but thank you feels like that could b it x
