hi there. Question for you. Every time I have sec I get a paper cut like tear. No lump. It heals but same spot every time. Using tampons irritates the same spot. It burns only when irritated by sex, tampons, or wiping after sex, tampons. My doctor mentioned biopsy but does any of this sound similar? This just started a few months ago. I got a physical and my doctor didn’t notice anything. I went back again and she thought tissue looked a bit fibrous is the word she used. But no lumps etc. She is sending me to a gyno but I can’t see him til October! What were your symptoms? Thanks in advance.
Hi
hopefully if your doctor thought it was something to worry about you would get seen sooner than that maybe? My doctor was concerned about mine straight away so I had some biopsies two weeks later. But I know these things work differently depending on where you are.
I did have an area, on my labia, which was like a tear almost but it didn’t heal and was there all the time, I also had some areas that were slightly raised and were red/itchy too. I wouldn’t want to worry you as there are lots of symptoms for lots of different things and you’ve done the right thing by seeing your doctor. If you’re still worrying can you go back to them and tell them your concerns?

She did say she didn’t seem worried but thought maybe to do a biopsy. The spot is there but gets inflamed from sex and tampon use. Now I have to wait til October? I did call the office back and ask what else I can do in meantime. And I will go back when it hurts again. It’s hurts to touch a bit. It’s a very tiny spot. Thanks for your reply.
Julia, I am so sorry you are feeling pain and that you can’t get in til October. I used to get cuts and tears called fissures all the time but it seemed to be caused by my steroid cream clobetesol which was used to treat my lichen sclerosis. The drawback was thinning of the skin and it made it like cigarette paper. I was given Premarin cream or Estrace in order to try to strengthen the skin. I sure hope you can call back and ask to be put on a cancellation list or perhaps let her do a biopsy to see if something needs to be treated.
Keep is posted.

Hi there. Have seen my doctor twice. There is a tiny ulcer. Had Std tests done. Everything was clear as he thinks it looks like herpes. I am taking a round of Valtrex. I asked him if it was lichen sclerosis or vin but he assured me it’s not. I have pushed and he is doing a biopsy at end of month. He had assured me 100% that it isn’t but you can never be too sure. I don’t have to itch but sometimes have a itch feeling and sometimes it feels like it burns slightly. I don’t know. It has had not gone away (the lesion) but only flares up during sex otherwise I feel fine really. He doesn’t really think I need the biopsy but I’m glad it’s happening! Stay tuned
Hi Julia,
I saw your initial post and the following updates,I am glad you pushed for a biopsy.I would have done the same, hopefully the biopsy result will be benign but if not treatment is so much easier in the early stages of anything malignant.
