Hi, i had surgery for removal of VIN 3 around 6 years ago, this was a classic white lesion on my labia minora. I have since found a new "lump" on my labia majora (so the hair covered part), my DR has removed it and histology results are again, VIN 3. Apparently the margins weren't clear, so i am waiting to hear from him regarding any further treatment, but other than this tiny bump that's now gone, i cant see anything on the skin at all.
I have been having some dryness, splitting and mild itching for the last 12 months in various areas, but other than a little redness, there are no white or pigmented colour changes.
My worry is that because it looked so different this time, and wasn't really visible, and any itching that i have will be fobbed off as there are no changes to the skin that you can see with the naked eye.
Has anyone else been diagnosed with VIN without real visible changes?

I’m sorry to read you still have some ongoing concerns about some symptoms you’ve been having without any visible skin changes. I haven’t had the same experience, but I can appreciate from your post that you are worried.
Even though the lump was removed, the dr will want to ensure that the margin around this area is clear of VIN, even though you cannot see the lump now.
I think it’s best to wait to find out what the doctor recommends next for you in terms of any follow up treatment. Meanwhile it will be important for you to share your worries with your doctor about the symptoms you’ve been having over the last 12 months. It’s important for them to know exactly what’s been going on to get a full picture.
I hope you don’t have long to wait to find out the next steps, as it’s difficult to have this worry hanging over you. But speak up, and make sure you get some answers to put your mind at rest.
