I’m just after some reassurance really.

I had my WLE 6 days ago to remove a large area of VIN3/possible cancer. The area is bigger than they first thought. It’s half way up my labia minors on both side, slightly inside my vagina and all the way up to my anus.

as advised by you lovely ladies I’m using a peri bottle, sitz bath, soft wipes and no knickers and resting a lot. My question is, is it still normal to have fresh bleeding from the sight this many days after surgery?

  • Hi, I'm sorry that your op was bigger than expected but better to remove VIN3 all at once. Do you have a CNS - nurse specialist- that you can ring or email to check? See belowcre blood tinged discharge (which I have had). Watch for signs of infection. Heal well & REST.

    Normal Healing vs. Warning Signs
Mild soreness, bruising, slight swelling, and a small amount of light, clear, or blood-tinged discharge are normal in the first few days and should gradually improve day by day. If symptoms are getting worse rather than better—or if you notice pus, a foul smell, or a fever—it is a sign to seek medical evaluation
