I wouldn’t think this was normal. If I was you then I would ring your surgeon’s secretary and ask for advise. They should have given you a contact number, if not then ask your GP or your MacMillan nurse. In the meantime keep it clean with cool water and pat dry. You don’t want to get any infection, please let us know how you get on. Rest up too.
Been to the doctors today, yes the stitches have come apart but it's all healing. They don't think I have an infection but have taken swabs to be on the safe side.
So pleased that everything is healing and they don’t think you have an infection. At least it will put your mind at rest. Take things easy and be kind to yourself.
