Ive had numerous WLE over 2yrs. My last biopsies was 10th july. Ive been waiting for my results, which i got back 5th August. Consultant says i need a MRI scan and my biopsies came back vin 3 still Cry  on my premium.

To say im disappointed, no i would say devastated as I also used the liquidmond cream for 14 wks until my WLE biopsies. How do people cope with this?? Its like your life just stops!! Cry My head spins and thinks the worse all day every day. Not to say coping with the vin3 symptoms Cry

  • Hi

I’m sorry you haven’t had a reply yet from someone with similar experience to share. It must be really difficult to live with the uncertainty of repeated WLEs and recurring VIN, especially on your perineum. My reply will nudge your post to the top of discussions and hopefully someone with the right experience will see it and reply.

I’m not surprised you are feeling low after using the cream for so long. Do you have to continue with it or wait until you have your scan result to see what’s next?

Have you asked for any help or guidance with the symptoms you are having? I do appreciate having had cancer and surgery in this area myself it can be very hard to cope with.

  • Hi sarah.

No dnt need to use cream any more. Im using hydromol, it eases symptoms. I can cope with the fact that vin 3 is still there, its the fear of the unknown that eats me up.

So many fears running around in my head. Anixety & panic, plus I feel like im going through the montions and not living my life as I should be !!!

Im speaking with my doctor Monday 10th August as I think in need something to calm me, as I feel I'm on edge all the time. Xx

  • Hi Blondi, so sorry you are struggling, I hope your doctor can give you something for your anxiety.  I know how you feel with the stress and worry.  My GP prescribed Sertraline for my anxiety and I am still using it after three years post surgery.  Also use hydro mol a few times a day to ease the area and feel more comfortable.  Let us know how you get on.  Sending hugs xx

  • Definitely see if your doctor can give you some medication to help you cope, as living in a high state of anxiety is really difficult.

My doctor prescribed me Sertraline for “low mood” and I took that for nearly 2 years, through tests, diagnosis and eventual surgery. She said it would be sensible to keep taking it to help me through, and I’d say it definitely did. It didn’t have any unwelcome side effects for me, but it took the edge off my anxiety and made it easier to cope with everything day to day.

  • Thank you for your replies, iam currently taking seraline 50mg, and using hydromol when I need to.

I feel I need something to calm my nerves down. I cannot cope with the fear of vin3 turning to cancer.

Its so hard to live your life with the fear of it all hanging over you.

Check ups, biopsies, all the waiting on results , operations to remove infected areas. Healing and repeat, takes a lot out of you.

Im tired, and fearful about what my MRI scan will show. But im really trying to stay focused and posative, even though negativity does get in once in a while.
