I’ve had a WLE approx. 2 weeks ago and healing very well. Got to back to have sentinel node biopsy next month. Unfortunately couldn’t do both at same time as biopsy has to be done in different hospital and didn’t have space. Anyone else had this done is it painful, what’s recovery time like. I’m healing so well scared this is going to be painful again.
Thanks.
Hi Eve,
I had a WLE in 2022 and then they wanted to do another op to remove lymph nodes. I was in hospital for 4 days, it was not painful at all it was just a pain with the drains. They removed my lymph nodes from the groin area so was on the outside of the body on both sides. I did develop lymphodema and had a lump the size of a golf ball in my groin. I paid to go private and have a lymphatic massage. They showed me how to massage it myself and when I went back to my surgeon for my check up he could not believe that it has disappeared. Wishing you well and a speedy recovery.
