Hi Girlie
Welcome to the Online Community and the vulva cancer forum.
I am sorry to hear of your vulval cancer and I hope that your treatment is going well.
My own cancer was endometrial but I also had pelvic radiotherapy. For me most side effects were tummy related- so diarrhoea etc. I also had some nausea and fatigue. If you do get side effects, let them know and they can offer support and medication which will help. I found that the side effects built up as the treatment progressed.
Some ladies have external beam radiotherapy alone and some have internal radiotherapy which is called brachytherapy. Has this been mentioned to you? That may explain the hospital admission. The best thing to do is to ask at your next radiotherapy session and they should be able to tell you why and answer any worries you may have.
I will pop a link here that may help.
