Hi all, had my WLE yesterday. So laying here feeling sorry for myself of course.
Got my surgical stockings on, making me too hot to sleep. I forgot to ask how long I need to wear them for? My partner seems to think at least 7 days. Not been offered blood thinners like many ladies. So just wondering how long other ladies wore them for?
Sadly, surgery not removed all my cells. So back in 6 weeks to see what happens next, suggesting possible further surgery - joy!

I am sorry to hear of your cancer and I hope that you will soon be feeling a lot more comfortable from your surgery.
My own cancer was endometrial and I had to wear the surgical stockings in hospital only and then was sent home with 30 days of blood thinners. I know sometimes it can vary between hospitals.
Have you got a number on your discharge paper work that you could call and ask them? I know I was told to give the ward a call with any questions.
I am sorry to hear that the surgery has not managed to remove all the cells. I know myself that I was not expecting to have the further treatment that I ended up having after the surgery- and it can get you down. If you need to chat things through do give the Support Line a call.
