Hi all
I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago at grade 3 TNBC with tumour in left breast, no evidence of spread to my knowledge and am due to start chemo in a weeks time for approx 6 mths, then surgery, radiotherapy and immunotherapy added to the mix.
I realise I'm thinking too far ahead here but after reading about the increased chance of recurrence in TNBC, how would you know after your primary treatment has finished if the cancer has spread elsewhere and early enough to be able to treat it successfully?
Many thanks
Seabreeze :-)
Hi Seabreeze welcome to the forum and sorry that you haven't had a response as yet. I think after diagnosis we all get scared so you are not alone there. That fear of what if never truly leaves any of us either but as time passes and treatment finishes you start to pick up some threads of life and living again. Cancer gets put further back as we get regular checks etc and that's important that we do that otherwise Cancer wins and consumes our whole lives. It's not easy and I hope that my reply doesn't sound like that as we have all been where you are. The trick is to take one day at a time and one piece of this journey at a time otherwise it caves in on us and becomes overwhelming..Good luck with all the upcoming treatments and please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing? Sending some huge big hugs your way for now Gail x
