Hi, I’ve recently been diagnosed with tnbc and had ct scan and full body bone scan which shows no spread. Then I had to have a pet scan.  Has anyone else had to have this after other scans were clear.

thank you.

  • Yep! Like a top to toe wave of exhaustion, very weird to feel like this during the day as I normally keep busy but I’m trying to make myself stop when I have to!
oh god, ANY cream that will help my lumpy skin right now would be amazing - honestly looks like I’ve been stung by an entire hornets nest! Xxx

  • Aw,  brilliant! Thank you so much <3 xxx

  • Good morning all,

    how are you all?

I had a terrible night.  Full of anxiety. Was very scared.  Just don’t know what to do. Xx

  • Oh shortie

So sorry to hear this. The nights are the worst

ok let’s get down to it- what specifically are you fretting about? How about calling the nurses? They are amazing at being a voice of reason

    you take care

  • Hi shorty,

what are you particularly frightened about?
be kind to yourself today and if you haven’t slept, have a little nap.

lack of sleep can affect A LOT of things massively.

    Xx

  • Thank you for replying.  I’m frightened my cancer will spread by the time I start chemo.  I’ve just had ct scan, bone scan and now a pet scan.  Still another week until I see the oncologist. Xx

  • That’s exactly where I was 2 nights ago. Every twinge everywhere was the cancer…..

the specialist told me that they are much more slow growing than one thinks. They are not going to do anything that allows it to spread. And the chemo will nuke it.

Am I right that one of your scans showed that it had not spread. Call the nurses to get talked down!

shortie I’m sorry to ask I should know - have you had your op??

  • exactly my thoughts, however we have to trust.

like one of the nurses said to me - were used to being in control and now weve lost all that control, but only for a short while.

another nurse said that by having chemo first, it allows your whole body to be blasted to get rid of these cancerous cells and attacks everywhere, not just one spot.

I saw my oncologist on Tuesday this week and I begin treatment on Monday so they can get the ball rolling.

call your breast nurse. I was afraid of doing it but now I just do it as it’s needed.
it’s rubbish but they’re saying this day in, day out

    xx

  • Terrible isn’t it what the mind can do to us.

Both the ct scan and bone scan were clear. They just done a pet scan to ensure no nodes in my chest were positive.  No I haven’t had my op yet xx
