I’m in a right state.
finished all treatment oct 2024 got NED…
yeah go me but then 4 weeks again I had pain in my flanks and shoulder blade.
had CT and chest scan and they found a 15mm nodule plus a small plural effusion and compression on left lung my breast cancer was right sided.
they rushed my PET scan through which was yesterday and my D dimmer bloods were all over the place.
I’m terrified and can’t think straight.
i get breathless all the time and over the counter pain killers not helping ..
sorry to be a downer but I’m scared

I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum. I'm sorry to hear that they found something during your scans and that you are getting breathless all the time and that painkillers aren't doing anything for the pain you are in. No need to apologise for being scared and feeling down, it's no wonder with everything that you are going through at the moment. I know it's easy for me to say but try to keep busy. I find that reading a good book and listening to some nice music helps take my mind off things when I'm struggling.
Would you consider some counselling? If you would you could contact the Macmillan helpline on 0808 808 0000 to speak to someone and they can arrange some free counselling with Bupa for you, or if you have a cancer centre near you, you could either give them a ring or call in and they can also arrange some counselling for you. They also offer various therapies which you can avail of.
