11 years ago I had a HER2 + breast cancer 1.5 cm nodes clear. I had radiotherapy and tamoxifen. I had a mammogram in September which showed an irregularity and was subsequently diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer on the same breast a tumour 1.6 cm. 13 nodes were removed and only one showed minute traces of cancer. I had to have a mastectomy and it is now 4 weeks since my operation. I am seeing the oncologist on Wednesday to see what my options are. I had a CT scan and minute nodes were found on both lungs and I have to have another CT scan in 3 months to see it they have grown. I am so glad to have found this group.
Hi Perwhip
Welcome to the group. Sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.
I had the same type of cancer which was diagnosed just over a year ago. After having chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I am now cancer free.
Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment when it starts.
Best wishes
