hi,

Im struggling a bit tonight. Well not really, think it’s more state of shock.

Back ground is: BC diagnosed 2014, chemo, radiotherapy done an then reconstruction.  Then to top that of I also got diagnosed with thyroid cancer 2018. Then my BC came back. December 2018,  only this time it had went for a walk into my lymph node.  Again more surgery and radiotherapy.  All was going ok.

Then today I’ve been told that my BC has not only spread to my bones but is triple negative.

I’m numb. Crying. Wanting to sleep. Not wanting to sleep. Can’t look family in the eye.  I’ve been given some literature but can seem to focus on it.

So I need to know the following.

Chemo.  I did dosataxol and FEC before.  What’s this type like for TNBC.

also has anyone done immunotherapy.  What happened, what was it like?

Love and light

Pauline

Hi I am sorry for your news.I had TNBC 2,5 years ago in May 2019 it has returned in my lungs. So I incurable.I was offered immunotherapy but only clinical trial if it would be part of normal treatment I would take it but not when there was only 1 other person trying it and no results.

So I am on weekly Paclitaxel chemo since August 2019 and lung nodules keep shrinking and breast lump too.My latest scan was in April this year.I am so strong I am even returning back to work in June my mental health cant cope with beeing home anymore.

    Good luck for your treatment

    Janet,

you've made my heart sing with hope xo thank you so much.  I felt like I’d been given an expiry date today.  Even though I know I hadn’t. Good to hear your doing well and the language you used made me feel good - shrinking, back to work.  Weird how those things are important.  Thank you again.
