Today is the worse day ever and what I feel most bad about is that I’m in tears and feel hopeless whereby it’s my beautiful older sister Carol that received the diagnosis that she has TNBC stage 3.

I need to have hope that she’s going to get through this.

They have already secured a breast removal hopefully for the 17th April.

I need to know how best to help, can I have advise please.

She’s my world.

  • Hi

Really sorry to hear you sisters news. Just wanted to reach out to you and let you know my story.

I had a similar diagnosis 2 weeks before my 40th birthday, had a mastectomy chemo and radiotherapy. This was back in 2013 and I will be celebrating my 7th year this year.

Treatment can be tough at times but is definitely doable. Think of the treatment as ammunition to get rid of the enemy ! Once your sister has had her op and then gets started on a treatment plan she will feel a lot more in control.

A brilliant thing you have done is post on here as there are some fantastic people with great advice and support......it’s partly what got me through along with the support of my family, which sounds like your sister has already.

Most triple negative breast cancers are grade 3 and I’m wondering if it’s that not stage 3 as that’s different ?

Im sure you will get other replies, stories and advice on this site, but as when I first started my journey I had so much support from this community and having advice and hearing success stories boosted me to fight this shitty disease even more !

All the best to your sister x
