At my last CT scan and ultra sound they sent away for a second opinion and I was recalled for a second ultra sound last week where they have said I have new thickening and puckering under my breast. I have been saying for a while that I had noticed changes of my breast underneath but my oncology kept saying my breast will keep changing as it hells after surgery which was just a year past !
I am a positive person but can’t help feeling a little nervous about the outcome of this new development in my breast !
Has anyone had anything similar?
Just feeling a little lost and afraid of the unknown!!
I just thought I'd have a read through everyone's messages as I haven't been on here in a while. I just wondered how uou'd got on? Have you had more tests? X
Hi
Thanks for asking , still no further forward , I seen my surgeon on the 20th December and he said he didn’t want to be to invasive with biopsy just now as could be post radiotherapy healing , he was happy to leave me till my next CT scan which is on Monday the 6th then my follow up appointment with oncology is on the 20th January, fingers crossed all is ok with no further developments !
I am still feeling a bit apprehensive though as I have definitely noticed a change in my breast.
But at least I know they are keeping a close eye on me and carrying out test as and when required, it just feels never ending appointments though!
I just need to keep positive xx
That's good that they're keeping an eye in you and not too long until your scan.
It is scary You try to get on with things and then we get these worries. I've got a check up tomorrow myself. I had an ultrasound in October to check for mild lymphodemia. They did an ultrasound under my arm which was fine. She pressed really hard and the next day I had pains in my arm and my palm swelled up. My BC Nurse thought she'd maybe irritated my veins/nerves.
After that happened I've had some swelling (could be a cyst/seroma). Hopefully nothing too serious . When I had my scan theycdidn't refer me to lymphodemia clinic as my arm wasn't too bad. The BC Nurse said dometimes fluid goes from arm to the armpit.
Please let us know how you get on x
