Hi All.
I'm having problems with breathlessness..
I finished radiotherapy in July but had chest infection and fatigue from radiotherapy. I'am going to the "wellbeing " clinic for fatigue..I'm also doing breathing techniques but these past few days going for walks has really frightened me and my husband..my heart pounds so fast I go dizzy and my husband said said I go white...
I know this is lack of oxygen..has anybody else suffered with this?
It only happens when I walk on an incline.
Maybe I just need to give it more time??

Hi Geordiepaws
I would definitely get it checked out just to put your mind at rest.
Hiya Geordiepaws
How you doing?? I use to get really breathless when i was having radiotherapy and for a few weeks afterwards, i was also very phlegm. Seems to have cleared up now though.
Hope you got yourself to a doctor and got it sorted.
xx
Hiya..
I'm getting on top of it...I'm back to doing the gym...not full swing yet...I get short of breath if I rush around...hopefully this will improve..I'm not bringing up any phlegm now..which is good..I have just started a course with the wellbeing clinic at the Macmillan centre for fatigue and relaxation..they never had any of this 17years ago...I could have really done with it then.
Hope your keeping well?xxx
Hi @Geordiepaws
I had shortage of breath too when walking up hills.
This may be one of the reasons for shortage of breath.
When I mentioned it to my Chemo Nurse, there followed an x Ray and scan. It was confirmed that I had blood clots in the lungs.
I subsequently noticed a poster in the chemo waiting room which read 1in 10 people with cancer may get blood clots in the lungs or DVT.
Now I am on daily blood thinner injections of Tinzaparin in the stomach. I did try tablets instead, but the side effects were more unpleasant so went back to the injections.

I had PE when having treatment. I know one of the main sympyoms is breathlessness. I'm assuming they've ruled this out?
