Triple negative breast cancer reoccurrence in same breast

Bummer!  So sorry to see you back with recurrence.

Have you been given further details as to where this will lead (mastectomy perhaps ?) or is this still small enough for another lumpectomy ?  Has this been confirmed as also being TNBC as sometimes it can change...

Suppose the only positive (if you can call it that) is that this is recurrence and not a secondary :-/

Ahh thanks surprisingly calm about it. Doctor said it was very small and if it had not been near the surface it would have been hard to find. Had a CT scan in April and it was clear so hopefully no spread. Think it might b mastectomy will find out this week when they contact me. A bit gutting as I was told I was in remission 4 weeks ago. 

Really sorry to hear this and I think I might be in the same position as you. Still lots of tests to be carried out but if you don’t mind me asking, what is your treatment plan?  I’m presuming mastectomy but will you also get chemo or something else after?
