I finished treatment Oct 2017 but the last 4 weeks I have had a dry cough. I'm not coughing constantly just about 10/15 times throughout the day just one cough then that's it.Just wondered if anyone else has this,I will see if i can get a doctor's appointment tomorrow,I'm starting to worry now xx

  • Sorry I can't help but just saying hi and how are you doing. I hope everything is ok I'm sure it's nothing but always good to check. I've had a few checks along the way recently a chest X-Ray for bone pain but all seems ok it's constant isn't it. Just a thought it couldn't be hayfever linked i get a really dry throat with mine which catches sometimes if I get a pollen surge  lots of love to you xxx

Hi i have finished treatment in dec.2017 and was ok until 2 months ago when i started to cough.i went to gp she sent me for x-rays and they found some shadows. The oncologist send me for CT scan and the absolutely horrendeous doctor told me that looks like my breast cancer returned and spread to my lungs.I wouldn believe her so I have requested also a lung biopsy because should be 2 tests really confirmed if its cancer not only a CT.So I am going to see the results next week.

I didnt mean to scare you but yes you need to check it out.And demand that they do all tests because sometimes they say its only a hayfever or allergy and they leave it and it will just get worse.

I am very upset from this because i was told there was only a little chance the cancer return because I had a complete response for chemo. If the biopsy confirm is cancer stage IV thats it.For me its over.I cant imagine myself to be on chemo all rest of my life.

Anyway get it checked properly and good luck for you

  • Hi I'm doing ok I did think maybe it was hayfever but will see what dr says tomorrow. Hope you are doing well xx

  • Sorry to hear your news and what you are going through, tnbc is a sneaky bugger can come back anytime I also had complete response.I will ring a d get a doctor's appointment tomorrow.Good luck with your results xx

  • I had something similar but just before chemo started. I was checked out and didn’t turn out to be anything sinister, was told it could have been stress. You are doing the right thing getting checked if only to put your mind at rest as we all know when those little demon thoughts start they need to be squashed as soon as possible. Could just be a virus but every ache and pain gets analysed until it drives us crazy !

  • Glad you was ok but you are right it needs to be checked just fingers crossed it's nothing sinister xx

    Hi

Did you manage to see a doctor?

I've had a dry cough for the last couple of weeks, i took it as a SE from radiotherapy as it started as radiotherapy finished. But i do know the pollen count has been very high over the last week and my cough seems lots better now. Hope yours clears up soon.

  • Hi yes I saw a doctor she thinks its asthma told me to take antihistamines to see if they help, she did send me for a chest xrays but dont think it's anything to worry about.Hope you are doing well xxx

  • That's good news

I know my hay-fever has been awful for the last couple of weeks. And I only have about 8 eyelashes left so difficult to keep out the pollen!!

    Xx
