Hi Ladies...

I have TNBC.  I have no  BRCA1 gene. I am 51 yrs and  I am having my 4th course of EC   (treatment every 3 weeks for 3 months) Then I will be having Plax/Carbo every week for 12 weeks .... then surgery then radiotherapy. I would like to ask if anybody has experienced sharp twinges in not only the tumor area but the breast that hasn't got a tumor! Also a hardening in the tumor area itself, feels as if has got bigger....some say it is because of menopausal symptoms caused by chemo and some say its the chemo killing the cancer but why would it feel bigger if that was the case? Quite confused....

Morning my advice would be to ring your breast care nurse.

They will know whats happening and be able to explain to you why, i had twinges every where and continue to do so. This stupid thing makes us all paranoid at some time. MIne use to change from time to time from feeling like it had totally gone to back again depending on the time of the month.

My breast care nurses are amazing and always help to put my mind at ease.

    Hiya TheScriptFan

Thanks for getting back to me...sorry i am late in thanking you! Chemo brain and family life.. Just to let you know that i did contact my nurses went to see the Dr and he  found fluid in my breast which they drained out with a syringe, could be just a reaction to the chemo. Another friend i spoke to actually had the same problem, so it does happen...
