Hi not been on here for quite some time but I could really do with some help a week ago I started the Red Devil chemo side effects are really bad mainly leg weakness to the point where I can't walk without wanting to sit down I am seriously thinking about cancelling treatment or reducing it if possible. Upon last examination no lump could be found therefore maybe surgery would be enough to make sure it doesn't come back. I welcome any advice. Thankyou
Hi Catmad
Sorry to hear that you are having bad side effects for the Red Devil chemo. I suggest that you ring either your breast care nurse or your oncology nurse and tell them about the side effects you are having.
Wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your treatment if you decide to carry on with it.
Best wishes

Hi there, I am sorry to hear you are struggling with your chemo side effects, I am too actually I just had my first EC a couple of days ago.
Seriously the best thing you can do is contact immediately you care team and tell them as soon as the symptoms come up, they can prescribe different pills and give you so many options (sometimes just a switch of a different pill works wonders!!) or either dealing with them or if necessary reduce or change the amount of chemo being done. Everyone is so different it takes a minute until you get the right mix of things for what your body needs.
Chemo su*ks, I am there with you sister but you are not alone. My care team told me to trust and listen to my body, and I seem to need a lot of rest and sleep, and it really made a difference especially in my mental health side of things.
Please take care, and we are always here for you if you need a little pick me up you got this!!!
Hi Ramona
Thankyou for replying I am going to ring them today I feel much better than I did but I deffo do not want to go through another 6 days of being really off. I rested and slept as much as possible but 3 to 4 days were where I was so restless I couldn't manage that hopefully they can sort me out. I'm here too if you need anything.
