Hi I've been reading through lots of your posts and just felt I needed to share my journey.  I was diagnosed with tnbc at 43 stage 2 in lymph nodes.. I googled tnbc it scared the life out of me but some facts about tnbc chemo works really well on our type if we survive 5 years we have a very low chance of recurrence unlike hormone positive..

I was diagnosed June 2018 I had 16 chemo 12 weekly carbo and taxol then 4 fortnightly ac... it was very doable I lost my hair but you can get amazing wigs.. there's are medications to help every symptom u get so don't suffer.. think of the chemo killing your tumour at every session my breast actually ached while going through chemo

I had a lumpectomy and sentinel node removal.. I got a pcr when results came back pathological complete response.. chemo killed all the cancer then I had 4 weeks of radio... I'm doing great back working running hair better than ever.. my oncologist told me I am 93% cured.. be positive u have got this ladies best of luck to you all x x

  • Hello irishgirl1

I loved reading your post as it made me feel alot better. I had diagnosis in Nov 2019 and neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Surgery June 2020. My pathology came back as a complete response. I was her2 positive which is equally as aggressive I believe but with a pcr has great results long term apparently. Thanks for that positive post, much appreciated

Thank you, Irishgirl this means so much to me.

Received my diagnosis on Monday, totally knocked me for six. I found a lump on left breast acted immediately.  Mammogram, CT Scan and biopsy on Monday 11th Jan. I was told it is an aggressive cancer measuring around 2cm. My lymph nodes are clear and they is no evidence that it has spread.

Yesterday was not good for me I couldn't stop sobbing.  Came onto Macmillan Online and after reading your story (and others) I feel so positive.

I've got Oncology on Monday at 9.00, Tuesday its the MRI scan.

Hubby has been brilliant, but I feel I need 'Girl Power and not Google!!!'

    Thanks again

    Rosie xx
