Thyroid cancer

Hi Rednest. 

To all the people saying you've had cancer and it's been removed and to move on - WHAT A STUPID THING TO SAY!!! 

My first surgery was in 2022,second 2023 and third 2024,so even if the cancer was removed some might still remain and show up at a later date, not saying it will be the case with you, but some patients will get that.

More than 4 years after the diagnosis cancer is still in my thoughts daily (in my case this year recurrence was not operable so had to have 33 sessions of radiotherapy that finished 6 weeks ago).

Even in the months between the investigation and treatments there was not a day I didn't thought about what it took from my and my family.

Maybe it's due to how old I was when diagnosed (37 years old) but that's just the reality for some cancer patients.

If someone ever tells me to just move on I will be slapping their faces right and left.

Anyway, it's very normal and valid how you feel and you are entitled to feel that way.

You can find loads of people here, that understand how you feel, as we felt that was also.

It's always cool to have a good support close to you, but if not we are all here to listen and advise.
