Diagnosed yesterday

Hi Trex, I'm sorry to hear of your results. It's such a worrying time when all the results are being gathered and you're left in limbo with all the thoughts just escalating around your head. It's easy for those around you without this going on to say "Oh don't worry I'm sure it'll be fine" but rest assured all of us on here have been through that time one way or another and it is hard to deal with. The facts that you have stated are, that it hasn't grown much in that time and that they are acting on it promptly and removing your thyroid in 2 weeks. Try and hold onto those thoughts, try to stay off google!! and put your trust in the consultant's team. There are some very knowledgeable people on here too, so if you have anymore questions just ask, don't ever feel any question is silly. I wish you well x

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis @Trex it does take a while to get your head round everything and is a shock, I think we would all agree on that.  Put your trust in your Consultant and try not to worry as you will be in safe hands, that is what I was told to do by the nurse in the room when I went for my first consultation with my surgeon, and he was lovely and took time to go through everything and reassure me.
