I had my RAI treatment on the 13th of June, since early last week I have lost my taste, is this just a side effect and how long is it likely to last?
It might be.
Most likely it will go away in the coming months.
Or, have you checked to make sure you haven't picked up Covid since you came out of hospital?

Definitely not Covid, just did a test, phoned nuclear nurse, its side effects from the treatment.
I've asked that question on the thyroid cancer group on Facebook and I had loads of replies saying they all had that for 1 to 3 weeks after RAI and it disappeared after that time. I have lost my taste yesterday as well.
I think mine is just starting to come back, its only slight but its great to taste food again!
