  • Hi Miss mole,

not sure I'll be much help as I have a different variant which they don't treat by suppressing but as you haven't had any other replies, yes my TSH was 0.05 after surgery, very low. My T4 was 17.

  • Hi thanks for reply my tsh was 0.07 and T4 29.1 which indicated overactive. I've got another blood test in a couple of weeks and ent are calling next week. It's making me feel hungry nearly all the time.

  • Hi Miss Mole,

Not sure if you managed to get an answer to your question, your post popped up on a Google search I just did.

If it adds any comfort, I had total thyroidectomy almost 2 years ago, and still occasionally get higher T4 and lowered TSH. I am well, in remission and living life to the fullest.

Health anxiety is still there, but please try to take time to breath, and seek help if you feel you need it.

    Stay safe.

  • Hi my thyroid levels were just in  normal range the last blood test I had. I'm having blood tests tomorrow for calcium and parathyroid as I'm still on acdal d3. Have trouble sleeping sometimes and get a bit tired. I am getting on as normal. Get a bit achy sometimes but I do have a physical job. Also I did have treatment for melanoma last year.x

  • Sounds like you are doing great Thumbsup I sometimes find the calcium tablets hard going, but have a fab Endocrinology Dr who I email mow and again if not feeling "right", and he'll alter the dose now and then.

    Keep fighting the fight!

  • Your still on calcium  tabs. I'm on 1 3 times a day my last blood test was parathyroid of 1.3. I'm still being monitored by thyroid surgeon.

  • Yeah...they took out my Parathyroids aswell, so nowI barely produce any calcium of my own, meaning I currently take 8 calcium tablets daily, which in turn give me stomach ache quite often. But given the choice of what could have been...
