Me again! Just getting my worries out there by using this platform.
I had my 2 surgeries and RAI in 2022. In the last year, and last few months in particular, I notice I cough everytime after I eat and need to clear my throat. It’s becoming more noticeable. Has anyone else had the same? And if you mentioned it to your hospital team what did they have to say about it?
I’m currently under a watch and wait as there are two spots on my thyroid bed that have come up in my latest ultrasound scan that my hospital team want to keep an eye on as well as heightened thyroglobulin antibodies and high free T4.
It’s hard not to worry!
thank you! X
Do you feel like there's a lump in your throat?
If so, it's worth searching in the forum for 'silent reflux'. That's something a lot of people experience.
How high are your Tg antibodies? There are labs that can still get you a reliable Tg blood test by pre-treating the sample in someway to remove the impact of the antibodies.
Best wishes

I do yes, thank you so much I’ll have a look.
They are 51. I didn’t know that, not sure if my hospital do that
Please check with your specialist but I don’t think 51 is high enough to cause problems. Your thyroglobulin reading is the important one.
Best wishes
