Hello there,

Hope you are all doing well as can be xx

its been ages since I’ve posted on here but I just wanted to ask if anyone else has dealt with increased pressure in their head (intracranial hypertension)  / optic nerve inflammation after their main thyroid cancer treatments? Or in general ? Maybe the two aren’t linked but I just wanted post on here out of interest.
I am currently waiting for a neurologist and ophthalmologist appointment to investigate this further. Was just curious if anyone had a similar experience

thank you

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read about the problems you have at the moment. It sounds very unpleasant and I hope the experts can sort it.

I don't have the experience you're asking for but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list.

    Wishing you all the best

  • Thinking logically - and imagining where everything is in the head - it seems more likely that these things are not directly connected but it's absolutely natural to wonder if any and every new change to your health is somehow connected.

    Best wishes

  • Thank you for your reply.

It’s hard as I’m always trying to understand the causes and i automatically think it must be related to thyroid issues. Not sure if high blood pressure due to hyperthyroidism post treatment may be linked. Just thought to post on here to get my worries off my chest and curious to see if anyone experienced anything similar.
    hope you are well! X
