Hi everyone
I’m having RAI soon and just been sent details of thyrogen injections with side effects! Can anyone who had had this advise me on how they were affected? Do I need to cancel plans on these days?
Thanks
I read the information and expected to feel a bit rubbish but other than feeling a bit tired I had no side effects at all. Good luck with your treatment.
Thanks - that’s a relief, I hope I react similarly! The leaflet made it sound awful.
I have had the injections over a week ago only side effect was the tiredness. Good luck with your treatment !
I've had my thyrogen injections on Tuesday and Wednesday. No side effects at all. Take care and don't worry.
I had these injections in mid May. I hate needles and was very anxious. But it was absolutely fine. Hardly felt a thing and felt completely normal afterwards. I think some people do experience tiredness and I didn’t make big plans.
I have to have the injections again in November as I need a radioactive iodine scan, snd my experience has given me confidence for next time.
I hope it goes well for you.
Thank you. I hope all goes well with your treatment too.
