I had an excellent meeting with nuclear medicine this week to discuss my RAI therapy. Much to my relief he didn’t recommend I follow a low iodine diet prior to treatment. I was just wondering if anybody else has been told this?
i was also told once I have had the 2 thryogen injectiosn I would have the most expensive bottom in my area!
Heya Runner,
There's a debate in the medical community over whether or not LID actually makes a difference or not. My team were of the opinion that just in case it does make a difference, might as well do it. In the UK, if you're an omnivore, LID is pretty easy to follow these days. I barely had to change anything in my diet the last time I did it.
And yup, thyrogen isn't cheap. Lol. But it is cheaper than T3, and much kinder to your body than withdrawal from your meds! So strut away! Lol
Lass
Xx
