Radioactive iodine treatment

Make sure you take sugar free sweets to suck.  And tea bags, coffee etc. You need to drink as much as possible to flush the radioactivity out, and suck sweets to help protect your salivary glands. 
The food in hospital somehow seems worse when you feel well, so take a good supply of snacks. 
I found it hard to sleep and wished I had taken my sleeping pills as getting them from the ward was slow.  
All in all it’s not too terrible and far less awful than most cancer treatments I think.

I did.  But it was a different hospital.  There was no microwave ‘due to regulations’

I am having my Radiation Iodine soon . I start my iodine diet tomorrow.

Take some nice squash. When you're trying to drink like a thirsty camel, water gets really boring very quickly.
