First high reading of Thyroglobulin

I am one of the Community Champions and am normally on a different forum but noticed you had not yet had a reply. Hopefully by responding someone will see your post and will be able to advise you further. 

I am sorry to hear that your blood test has caused you concern and hopefully the further testing can be done quickly and will bring some reassurance. It is good that you do not have to wait too long to see your consultant. 

In the meantime perhaps consider giving the Support Line a call and talking things through.

Can you tell us what the Tg level was, please?
Also, can you confirm what your TSH level was - I ask that because sometimes if your TSH goes to high, it 'stimulates' the production of more thyroglobulin, making things look worse than they really are.

thankfully I’ve just had an email to say my second blood test results were fine. My TSH level was 1.49 it had increased. I think it may have been because of a collagen supplement which I have started to take. I didn’t realise it would have an effect on the blood test. Still would like to get another blood test to confirm as we had the worst few days thinking the cancer had come back
