I had a hemi thyroidectomy, followed by TT earlier this year for PTC. I completed RAI beginning of September. The nuclear scan showed uptake in thyroid and thyroglobulin was recently at 0.35 and the doctors seemed happy. However, my first ultrasound since RAI has shown one suspicious lymph node near to where the original lump was, which was apparently fine on the nuclear scan.
Has anyone had any similar experience of this? I am not due to see my consultant for over 2weeks and I’m unsure what to think.
Thank you
Just wanted to say that I am now 5 years post diagnosis followed by full thyroidectomy and quite a high RAI131 treatment. I have had quite a few checks on suspicious lymph nodes during this time which is always worrying but everything is fine. I hope this reassures you.
Best regards
Diane
