Hi everyone,
Wondering if anyone has experience of a seroma after thyroidectomy and neck dissection? I’m nearly a year on and there is a large fluid buildup on the thyroid bed with ‘disproportionate’ lymph nodes nearby on the left side. They’re monitoring me very closely which is great but I can’t find any information on seromas this long after the op and I think they’re rare anyway!
Any similar experiences I’d be really grateful to hear from you. ️
Hi Mbow
I'm sorry to read that a seroma has developed since your surgery. I don't have any experience with this but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.
I've done a search in the group and found these two posts which mention seromas. Unfortunately, both posts are very old, and one poster has left the community, but you may still be able to get a reply from the other one if you wanted to reply to their message.
Wishing you all the best
