Hello,
I had RAI treatment 18/6/2024 for Hurtle cell thyroid cancer.
I stayed in for 6 days in the room! I am now free of restrictions but feeling unwell.
I experienced severe nausea during my stay and still have loss of taste and intermittent nausea and fatigue, generally feeling very run down. Some discomfort around my next.
Has anyone else experienced these symptoms for any length of time? I had hoped to get back to work soon.
I have tried to contact my specialist nurse but not heard back- I know they are very busy.
Grateful for any information that people are happy to share.
Hi 60sBabe
I'm sorry to read how you're feeling since having your treatment and I hope that since writing this you've managed to speak to your CNS.
I'm not a member of this forum but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list.
((hugs))
Hello,
my apologies for not saying thank you.
I heard from my specialist nurse after a week- they are run off their feet! She was lovely and reassured me. I appear to have had the worst of the side effects- staring to resolve now gradually.
Between brain fog and fatigue , I keep forgetting to do things!
That's good to read that you're over the worst of the side effects.
