Hi this maybe a silly question but does anyone know if it's safe to travel on public transport on the day of thyroidectomy surgery and does anyone know what happens if you are a bit late for admission time as public transport does have delays also traffic bycar or taxi.
Hi Miss mole
Are you having day surgery? I did find this page from King's college hospital that makes a point of travelling by car or taxi and being accompanied if that helps.
On arriving late, it does of course happen and can depend where you are on the list, There is often quite a bit of preparation that goes on before surgery checking that everything is ok and that takes time too.
fingers crossed for you.
<<hugs>>
Steve
