Hi following my operation 11 days ago I will be receiving liquid radiotherapy… can anyone share their experience?
Hi Westerdale
How are you feeling after your surgery? Hopefully, you're recovering nicely.
I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet so searched the group for other posts which mention 'liquid radiotherapy'. However, as none other than your own came up, I wondered if 'liquid radiotherapy' is also called something else?

I believe that liquid RAI (radioactive iodine) is given to people who suffer from swallowing problems. Is that correct in your case @Westerdale? Otherwise you would have a pill, if swallowing isn't a problem. I have had the pill and my experience was positive. I had no adverse reactions apart from my tummy being a bit off it for a couple of days after I got home. I spent 2 nights in hospital while my radiation levels were high, had a whole body scan and then home on the 3rd day.
