Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer

Hi Sanitas and welcome to the Online Community. I'm sorry to read your relative has been diagnosed with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. I myself have a different type of cancer but I'm sure the members here will be along soon to chat, this is a fairly quiet forum.

A cancer diagnosis of any kind causes stress and anxiety but by you joining this group you'll get support and answers for your , and your relatives questions.

It’s always helpful to others if you write a little something (or a lot) about yourself and your relative's journey to date. You can enter it into your profile (click on your username and select “Profile”) It’s helpful to other members with a similar diagnosis who can then hopefully answer your questions. It also means that you don't have to keep writing the same thing over and over. You can amend or update it at any time.

Hi Sanitas, one of my close relatives have just been diagnosed with ATC. How is it going for you? I’m struggling quite a bit 

Snow6 I am sorry to say that we cannot offer you great hope.

ATC is a very serious form of cancer that bares very little similarity to other types of thyroid cancer. It is very difficult to cure and when treatment is available, it's often not used because it's highly unpleasant.
